Searches for fashion?

I am an incredible fan of tags, and it’s my frustration with quite a few costume collections house online.  When you know for what you are searching, it can be painful - having to search for “gown” or “robe” in the V&A collection, because that’s what they call everything, instead of “robe à l’anglaise” or “sacque back” - I wish they would allow things to be tagged, like the Brooklyn Museum does, so people could add tags that others could search for.

That being said, I have been remiss about tagging on Tumblr.  What tags do you use, and which ones would be most helpful to search for things in this blog?

  1. mamzellestylebook answered: I’d tag the type of garnment (française/anglaise), fabric used, details like embroidery, lace, etc. & I’d also tag male and female fashion
